A Sunday in March
She arrived on a Sunday morning, ten minutes before her Lola's favourite teleserye. Lola still says she was worth missing the episode.

The short version
Our girl is turning eighteen, and we're throwing her the debut she's pretended not to want since she was twelve.
This isn't an invitation. It's a small corner of the internet for the people who've watched her grow up, so you hear it from us first.
How we got here
The abridged edition. Her Lola has the extended cut, with photos, if you have an afternoon.
She arrived on a Sunday morning, ten minutes before her Lola's favourite teleserye. Lola still says she was worth missing the episode.
Saturday lessons, a lot of negotiating, and one recital in a borrowed dress two sizes too big. She played every note. Mostly in order.
Online classes from the dining table, a camera she always forgot to turn on, and a sudden talent for ube pandesal. The whole street got a batch.
A ballroom in Tagaytay, a gown she found after six months of "just looking", and everyone she loves in one room.
The 18s
Eighteen men who've looked out for her, starting with her Papa and her Lolo, then Kuya Miguel, the titos and the friends who always walked her home. Each one shares a dance and hands her a rose.
Eighteen women light a candle and leave her one wish: her Mama, her Lola, her ninangs, and the friends who've known her since grade one. Tissues will be provided.
Eighteen gifts, each meant to be kept: a first watch, a recipe card in Lola's handwriting, a book with a note on page one. Small things she'll still have at forty.
The film
Filmed the week the gown came home. She asked us not to post it. We're posting it.

Formal invitations with the full details will follow for guests. For now, this is simply the news.

Notes
Advice for eighteen, a favourite memory, or just congratulations. She'll read every one, probably twice.
